Full Vehicle Respray in Edmonton
A respray is the one paint job where preparation is everything and shortcuts are visible for years. Anthony's Autobody resprays complete vehicles the unglamorous, correct way: strip or sand to a sound substrate, fix the rust and dents first, prime, seal, base, clear, cure, polish. The result depends on the prep level you choose — so we quote by prep level, in plain language, before you commit.
Thinking about a respray? Call us or send photos and we'll talk through what your vehicle actually needs.
When a Full Respray Makes Sense
Three situations justify repainting a whole vehicle: clear coat failing across multiple panels (the cloudy, peeling look Alberta sun produces), a colour change, or a vehicle you plan to keep long enough that patchwork blending would never end. If only one or two panels are failing, we'll tell you panel refinishing is the smarter spend — a respray sold to someone who needed two panels is just an expensive way to lose a customer.
What Determines the Price
Preparation, not paint. Sanding and painting over a straight, rust-free body is the base case. Every dent, every rust bubble, every previous bad repair that has to come out first adds labour — and trim removal depth matters too: painting with glass and trim masked costs less than painting with them removed, but removed gives the cleaner result. We quote 2-3 prep levels with what each includes so you choose with open eyes.
Our Respray Process
Assessment — panel-by-panel inspection for rust, filler, and previous repairs; agreed prep level and written quote.
Bodywork — dents and rust repaired properly first; paint over problems is money burned.
Surface prep — strip or sand, prime, seal.
Paint — base coat in the booth, clear coat, controlled cure.
Finish — wet sand and polish, reassembly, final inspection in direct light.
Respray FAQs
-
A quality single-colour respray on a clean, straight body starts in the low thousands and climbs with prep: rust repair, dent work, trim-off painting, and premium finishes all add real labour. Anyone quoting a complete respray for a few hundred dollars is describing a different product. Send photos and we'll give you a real range for your vehicle.

One to three weeks depending on prep level and bodywork. Paint cure time is part of quality — a respray promised in two days is skipping steps you'll see within a year.

Yes — our refinish work is backed by our lifetime workmanship warranty for as long as you own the vehicle.
